You've made the decision to start trying - and that alone is such a beautiful, exciting moment. But before you dive in, there's so much we can do together to prepare your body (and your partner's) for the healthiest possible pregnancy. This is your time to invest in your future family.
As a fertility naturopath in Melbourne, I see so many women who come to me after months of trying without success — and often, the most powerful thing we can do is go back to basics. Preconception care is about optimising your reproductive health before you even start trying, giving you the best possible chance of conceiving naturally and carrying a healthy pregnancy to term.
The research is clear: a dedicated preconception window of at least three to four months (ideally longer) can significantly impact egg quality, sperm quality, hormonal balance and overall fertility. This is your opportunity to stack the odds beautifully in your favour.

Who is this for?
Preconception care is for you if you're planning to start trying in the next 3–12 months and want to approach it with intention and knowledge. It's also for couples who have just started trying and want to ensure they're giving themselves every possible advantage.
Whether you have an existing health condition or you're in good health and simply want to optimise — there is always something meaningful we can do together.
My approach to preconception care
1. Deep dive investigation
We look at your full health picture - cycle history, blood tests, diet, lifestyle and anything else that might be affecting your fertility
2. Targeted Testing
I help you organise the further testing you need and deserve - so that we can understand exactly what’s happening, rather than guessing. This may include blood tests and/ or a gut & vaginal microbiome test.
3. Personalised Protocol
A tailored plan covering nutrition, lifestyle adjustments and evidence-based supplementation - specific to you, not a generic template.
4. Ongoing Support
I'm with you every step of the way. Regular check-ins to track your progress, adjust your protocol and celebrate your wins.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Ideally three to four months before you plan to start trying, as this covers a full egg maturation cycle. That said, it's never too early or too late. Even one month of focused preparation makes a meaningful difference.
-
Both! Male factor infertility accounts for around 40–50% of fertility challenges, so I actively encourage partners to be involved in preconception care. I can support you as a couple or individually.
-
Absolutely - all of my consultations are available online via Zoom or phone, and this is how the majority of my clients see me. Online appointments work just as well as in-person, and mean you can access support from wherever you are in Australia. If you're local to Melbourne's south-east, I also offer in-person consultations in Caulfield South.
-
100% yes - and honestly, this is one of my favourite groups of people to work with.
Not having a known issue doesn't mean there's nothing to optimise.
Things like nutrient deficiencies, subclinical thyroid dysfunction, blood sugar imbalances and poor egg or sperm quality often have no obvious symptoms at all, yet can significantly impact your ability to conceive and have a healthy pregnancy.
A preconception appointment gives us the chance to catch and address anything before it becomes a problem - so you can go into trying with genuine confidence rather than just hoping for the best.
-
Yes! My most popular way to work together is the Flow Forward Fertility Package — an 8-week program designed to accelerate your fertility and take you through my full process from start to finish. You'll save on both consultations and supplements, and get the depth of support that really moves the needle. It's genuinely the best way to get started, and most of my clients choose this option.
-
No referral needed - you can book directly with me. I offer online appointments Australia-wide and in-person consultations in Caulfield South, Melbourne. Whatever works best for you.
-
There are two pathways depending on what works best for you. If you have a GP, I can write a referral letter outlining the tests I'd like to run - your GP will need to agree to order them, but if they do, the tests will be covered by Medicare.
Alternatively, I can refer you directly to a private pathology provider, which gives us more flexibility in what we test, and does come with an out-of-pocket cost. We'll talk through the best option for your situation together.
